Binance trading page is blank with no candlestick charts? Handling resource loading failures

Reasons and solutions for the Binance app trading page (futures / spot) loading a white screen or a blank candlestick area: WebView errors, corrupted local cache, regional restrictions, etc.

When the Binance trading page opens and the candlestick area is completely blank, this article provides troubleshooting methods. Download entry: Binance website, for mobile Binance official app, if you don't have the iOS app, check the iOS install guide.

1. Possible Causes

CauseSymptoms
WebView loading failedCandlestick area is blank, bottom order entry is still visible
Regional restrictionsEntire page is blank or redirected for compliance
Cache corruptedSporadic, recovers after restarting
Trading pair suspendedTrading for that pair is genuinely paused
WebSocket disconnectedCandlesticks don't update but show statically

2. 5-Step Handling

1. Switch Trading Pairs and Back

The simplest fix. Switch to BTC/USDT and see if it displays. If it does → it's an issue with the original pair. If all pairs are blank → global issue.

2. Pull Down to Refresh

Pull down from the top of the candlestick area to force a reload.

3. Kill Process and Restart

Close it from recent tasks and reopen the app.

4. Clear Cache

Settings → Apps → Binance → Storage → Clear Cache.

5. Change Networks

Try switching from WiFi to 4G. WebSockets might fail to connect on certain networks.

3. Regional Restriction White Screens

If you open the futures page using a mainland China IP:

  • Some features are disabled for CN IPs due to compliance.
  • It manifests as an entirely blank page or a redirection.

Switch to a stable compliant exit IP (Japan / Singapore) and reopen.

4. Trading Pair Suspended

Binance occasionally pauses trading for specific pairs (project maintenance, new rules launching). Check announcements to confirm. During the suspension, candlesticks will not update, but assets remain safe.

5. Futures Page-Specific Issues

A futures white screen might be:

1. Leverage and Margin Mode Incorrectly Selected

New futures users must select a margin mode (Cross / Isolated) on their first visit. Some elements won't display if unselected.

2. Futures Agreement Unsigned

New users must sign the risk disclosure before their first futures trade. Futures page features are restricted until signed.

3. Futures KYC Level Insufficient

Certain futures features require higher KYC levels. Check your level under account security.

6. Long-Term Advice

1. Desktop as Backup

When the app has sporadic issues, the desktop version often works perfectly. Use both.

2. Watch the Binance Status Page

binance.com/status shows the health of all service modules. Announcements appear here during outages.

3. Do Not Force Orders During Outages

When candlesticks don't display, do not place orders based on feeling. Trading blind makes it easy to place orders at the wrong price level.

FAQ

Q1: Are pending orders still valid during a white screen? Yes. Pending orders are stored on the server and are independent of your local display.

Q2: Will a white screen affect execution? No. Both pending and market orders execute normally, you just can't see the candlesticks.

Q3: Will updating the app fix this? Updates might not fix sporadic issues. Reinstalling is more reliable.

Q4: Candlesticks show but don't update? WebSocket disconnected. Pull down to refresh or reconnect your network.
